Job Purpose: I am looking for a Personal Assistant to provide support with some meal preparation and cooking, general cleaning and occasional support for hospital and doctor’s appointments. Although driving is not essential because I can drive, support would therefore be more for emotional needs as I am agoraphobic so find going anywhere alone distressing.
You would also assist with changing bedding as and when is needed, and someone being able to be in the house while I bath. I do not need assistance with bathing or soon to be showering once the adaptations to my house have been done; it is just for reassurance in case I was to slip or not be able to get out of the current bath. Location: Fakenham, NR21 Details: Meal preparation and cooking. Cleaning and bedding change. Support during health appointments. Person specification Essential: Friendly and supportive. Patient with good communication skills. Caring. Summary terms and conditions: · The rate of pay for this position is £15 per hour · Hours and times of work: 18 hours per week arranged flexibly. Exact days and times advised ahead of time. · The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. · This position requires the employee to complete free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety, COSHH, Food Hygiene, Manual Handling and Risk Assessment. Post is subject to the following: · A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer. · Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer. · Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
