GBP 33,232 - GBP 36,924 / year Description As part of UK Student Recruitment and Outreach Engagement, this role is responsible for the planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of a portfolio of projects, activities and events in support of the delivery of the Access and Participation Plan. Working with key contacts in schools and colleges you will develop and deliver engaging content; leading workshops and collaborating on projects with both internal and external partners. About the Role As our Senior Schools and Colleges Engagement Officer, you will help support our Access and Participation Plan. This exciting role involves planning and delivering targeted events and activities to raise aspirations and awareness of higher education, working closely with partner schools and colleges, and acting as the main contact for specific partnerships. The role includes coordinating outreach projects, supporting Open Days and UCAS events, training and supervising student ambassadors, and delivering programmes to aid student success and re-engagement. About You You will have a strong knowledge of current issues within higher education, especially those concerned with Access and Participation and have recent experience in the coordination and delivery of events for young people. You will have a degree (or equivalent) and expertise in event coordination, project management, and stakeholder engagement. You'll bring strong communication, organisational, and IT skills, with a deep understanding of the barriers faced by underrepresented groups. You will be confident working independently and travelling to facilitate our delivery and will build strong relationships. The role requires empathy, enthusiasm, and a collaborative mindset to inspire diverse audiences about the opportunities higher education offers. Additional Information The post holder will be required to travel to events and transport appropriate resources. The nature of the role means that some evening and weekend working will be required, to cover core departmental activities. The arrangement of working hours will be agreed in advance with the relevant line manager. This post is subject to DBS clearance. All members of the Academic Planning team are expected to support across University events such as student recruitment events, Graduations, Clearing, Registration and similar, as appropriate.
