We are seeking a positive and forward thinking person to join our busy administration team at our Sherborne practice. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, good attention to detail and be comfortable working under pressure at times. A high customer service is required and ability to work as part of a team is essential. An understanding of the veterinary field and the farming industry would be beneficial although full training is provided. The role will include:

Answering phones and dealing with general enquiries, booking appointments and taking medication orders. Scheduling of work rotas Organising and completing herd/flock health plans Producing reports, such as antibiotic collations Stock take of medicines Lab work to include blood sample analysis and worm egg counting Liaising with veterinary students and universities regarding work placements TB testing administration Maintenance of farm veterinary equipment, and fleet of work vehicles Social media Processing emails Farm invoicing Join us and deliver excellence

We operate across three locations, offering small animal, equine, and farm animals, all conveniently situated close to each other. Our state-of-the-art facilities enable our clinical team to deliver veterinary care with a strong focus on maintaining high clinical standards, which we continually strive to develop and enhance. Our team is a close-knit group of 30, including veterinary surgeons, nurses, support staff, and clinical directors. We are dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care and customer service, with a constant focus on raising our standards. This is a part time role, working 28 hours per week (weekdays), plus a Saturday morning on a rota basis.
