About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) to join a leading neuropsychiatric rehabilitation service in Newport, South Wales. This role offers the chance to be a key member of the leadership team in a specialist hospital that provides care for adults with neuropsychiatric disorders, acquired brain injuries, and degenerative neurological conditions.

The service comprises single-gender units designed to provide tailored, high-quality rehabilitation care and focuses on achieving positive outcomes for patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic and clinical leadership to the multi-disciplinary team (MDT). Guide the implementation of treatment models and support best practices for neuropsychiatric care. Ensure compliance with NICE guidelines and safety standards. Develop and oversee care plans and behavior support strategies for patients. Conduct clinical audits to monitor outcomes and drive continuous improvement. Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and patient rights. Support the lifelong learning and development of your team. Deputise for the Hospital Director when required and participate in an on-call rota.

About You:

To be eligible for this role, you must: Be a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD). Hold a valid and clear NMC PIN. Have strong leadership experience in an inpatient environment. Ideally have experience as a Ward Manager or similar senior role. Have neuropsychiatric experience or a strong interest in neuropsychiatric conditions. Possess excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
