Our client, a leading organisation in the power distribution and energy sector, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver DNO and ICP infrastructure projects across a range of high-voltage (HV) connections from 11kV to 132kV. This is a site-based, permanent position requiring hands-on leadership to manage complex projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of DNO and ICP projects to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Provide operational support for bids and pricing, ensuring accuracy, risk management, and compliance with governance standards. Oversee site-based activities, ensuring adherence to Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies. Actively monitor and manage project progress, addressing any delays and safeguarding commercial and contractual interests. Conduct site audits, ensuring compliance with HSG47, CDM, and other regulatory requirements. Support project documentation processes, including the production of as-built and progress records. Manage site-based teams and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and a positive working culture. Negotiate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to drive project success. Coordinate with procurement teams for sourcing subcontractors and suppliers. Participate in monthly financial reviews, including cost and value reconciliations, to ensure project profitability. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, acting as their primary point of contact. Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet current and future project demands.

Job Requirements:

Proven experience as a Project Manager (or similar role) within the DNO or ICP sector. Strong knowledge of HV infrastructure projects, including excavation, utility works, backfill, and reinstatement. Proficiency in regulatory compliance, including NRSWA, HSG47, CDM, and NERS accreditation. Excellent commercial awareness with effective budget and cost management skills. Proficiency in project management tools, including MS Project and tablet-based systems. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to lead and mentor teams effectively. Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel to various sites.

Benefits:

Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum. Site Based Vehicle & fuel Card 25 days plus bank holidays. Pension, death in service, and other benefits. In-house company bonus scheme. Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week. Professional development opportunities and a supportive team environment.
