Team Leader

at our Milton Keynes location (MK10 Kingston). Purpose of job/mission: To control and supervise labour and to ensure that good quality containers are packaged to customer specification. Tasks & responsibilities: To ensure that all paperwork relevant to the various products is correct and issued to correct persons for record keeping. Discrepancies should be reported to supervision. To deploy labour as necessary to ensure the smooth running of the packaging operation: To ensure new employees are inducted on the first day of employment; To ensure training is given to packers to enable them to carry out their tasks. Coordinate activities between production line and packaging line to ensure all packaging lines are staffed in accordance with production lines running. To monitor and ensure packing figures are recorded correctly and all relevant information is passed onto employees and supervision. Substandard products and packaging must be reported to supervision. To record sickness and absence of packers and notify HR Department. To ensure housekeeping is of the highest standard at all times. To ensure your duties and those of your packers are carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures. To perform any other duties in connection with the operation of providing good quality packaging, that may from time to time be reasonably required by supervision and are consistent with the ‘Purpose of job/mission'. Skills/Experience: Proven team leader/supervisory experience within a production environment. Excellent organisational skills and able to prioritise tasks effectively. Recent experience within a packaging environment/fast-paced production. Excellent communication skills (Written and verbal). Able to demonstrate safe working practices and adhere to strict H&S requirements and regulations. Your profile
