Governance Advisor Full time, Permanent (40 hours) Salary: £35,000 per annum Ref: WA373 The Abbey is seeking to appoint a Governance Advisor to assist with the development of business planning and risk management, and to act as the Abbey's Data Protection Officer. You will be responsible for efficiently administering reporting against departmental business plans, Key Performance Indicators and risk registers, and for advising staff across the Abbey on compliance with the Abbey's Data Protection Policy. This is an exciting opportunity for a pro-active self-starter with excellent analytical and communication skills to gain experience working within governance in a unique and historic environment. This new role would suit a capable recent graduate, and significant training will be offered as part of the role in order to develop professional skills. The Advisor will need to be able to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels, from members of the Abbey Board to staff in individual departments. The successful candidate will have an empathy for and an appreciation of the mission of the Abbey, and its role as a church at the heart of the nation.
