£28,000 - £30,000 P/A DOE Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30 plus every other Saturday morning and be available for calls outside normal working hours We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Planner to join a dynamic team. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for managing a team of 6 drivers for various transport routes running from the UK to Europe and back. You will play a crucial role in advising clients on any delays and providing effective solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Manage drivers for transport routes between the UK and Europe Advise clients on delays and provide solutions Work every other Saturday morning and be available for calls outside normal working hours IT savvy with excellent communication skills Provide excellent customer service Plan UK and European routes for a fleet of HGV vehicles in a cost-effective manner Daily communication with drivers for delivery updates Liaise with customers and other departments as necessary Maintain accurate timesheets and files Ensure PLDs are correct and sent to clients promptly Scan PODs and send to Customer Requirements:
Recent experience in a similar role Proactive approach to work and ability to think on your feet Significant experience in transport planning Strong organisational skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Knowledge of UK and European transport regulations Proficient in using transport planning software Benefits:
