An established multidisciplinary is looking for a Senior Transport Planner to join the team in Wakefield and have full control on all transport planning services with the support of the wider team.
As the Senior Transport Planner in this consultancy you will be responsible for delivering Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Transport Statements and transport advice at due diligence stage. You will be working with a range of clients across sectors such as education, healthcare, residential and commercial.
You will also be given the opportunity, should you want it to get training on carrying out Flood Risk Assessments.

Senior Transport Planner Responsibilities:
Obtaining, analysing and interpreting traffic and transport data from a range of external sources; Appraising development sites in terms of their accessibility by a range of transport modes; Undertaking junction capacity assessments; Day-to-day technical input into projects as well as project management of smaller development proposals; Inputting to masterplan and junction designs; Attending and contributing to design team and client meetings. Senior Transport Planner Requirements:
A degree qualification in a relevant field; Have a thorough understanding of the principles of transport planning; Excellent presentation and technical writing skills; The ability to manage their own time to meet project deadlines; An understanding of the application of highway design standards and guidance.
