Senior Business Analyst **Hybrid - you must be on site in south wales 2 days per week and not live further than 1 hour commute** (Non negotiable) ** This role does not offer sponsorship** Join an IT Programmes team as a Senior Business Analyst, where you'll collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of the business. Your primary focus will be on analysing and documenting stakeholder requirements, validating business benefits, and shaping projects for executive-level investment sign-off. This role is crucial in our waterfall-based pre-project delivery process. Key Responsibilities: Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with project sponsors and key stakeholders to define and agree on project objectives and scope. Requirements Analysis: Gather and document business requirements (functional, non-functional, technical, and general) through workshops, interviews, and records analysis. Solution Alignment: Collaborate with the IT Architecture team to ensure requirements match appropriate solutions. Procurement Management: Oversee tender selection events and leverage existing technology solutions through procurement framework partners. Investment Papers: Prepare concise business cases, including project costs, risks, timelines, and financial forecasts, for executive approval. Team Development: Mentor and coach junior staff, review their work, and contribute to process improvements within the IT Programmes team. Project Management: Manage and prioritize workload according to the five-year roadmap, facilitating timely decision-making and expectation setting. Technical Skills: Proficient in documenting project objectives and scoping projects based on complexity and duration. Skilled in identifying and recording requirements using various elicitation techniques. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen effectively. Capable of working independently and managing multiple projects in an outsourced environment. Experienced in preparing and shepherding Investment Papers through the approval process. Adaptable to remote work environments, with strong knowledge of Microsoft 365. Determined and tenacious in driving key decisions from senior stakeholders. Flexible and willing to address urgent issues and support team members. Competent in conducting as-is, to-be, and gap analysis. Able to liaise with Technical Architects, Project Managers, Service Managers, and external partners. Knowledgeable in identifying risks, issues, and dependencies. Commercially aware and able to work with Procurement and Legal teams. Qualifications: BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent (highly desirable). Seniority level
