CFO PE-backed B2B business

This is an exciting opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer to join a fast-growing PE-backed B2B business based in Essex. Working alongside the CEO and a supportive PE house, the CFO will offer strategic insight, support the leadership team, drive initiatives, manage projects, and contribute to a realistic growth plan. Key Responsibilities: Lead the finance team as a strategic business partner, overseeing all financial operations. Implement robust systems, processes, and controls to enhance strategic and operational value. Deliver detailed financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting at the highest standards. Drive the business's ambitious growth strategy under PE partnership. Prepare and present monthly performance reports to the board. Manage working capital and cash flow effectively. Serve as a role model, fostering a high-performance culture within the finance team. Strengthen relationships with investors and business partners to promote business success and growth. The ideal candidate: A qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA). Proven experience as a Finance Director or Financial Controller in a privately-owned business, seeking to step up into a CFO position. A track record of implementing and improving accounting systems, processes, and management information and financial reporting. Be proactive and entrepreneurial with exceptional interpersonal skills and be a skilled communicator.
