Owing to continued organic growth, the business is delighted to welcome applications for a Procurement Manager at our leading facility in Dewsbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join a growing business and aid in the development of our Supply function. You may come from the manufacturing division and have aspirations to develop your commercial acumen, and this would be a great opportunity to do so! You will work closely with the Commercial Director to support critical elements of the supply chain transformation, including the full supplier lifecycle management from selection, commercial negotiation and contracting to in-life supplier management. The Procurement Manager will own the strategy and contract for their strategic procurement initiatives. Some of Your Key Duties Include: Working with the Project Engineers & Pipework Service Manager to purchase equipment on a project-by-project basis. Liaising directly with all Suppliers, including management of SLA’s. Oversee the Supply Chain activities across the business. Analyse project performance and produce lessons learned for best practice. Working with production, ensuring purchase orders are delivered on time. Communicating with stores regarding incoming deliveries. Working with suppliers to reduce lead-times as appropriate. What Do You Need? Experience working across a business with senior stakeholders to develop and implement sourcing plans, with the ability to identify trends, purchasing patterns and market conditions in order to drive cost savings, supplier resilience and deliver supplier governance to mitigate risk. Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with experience in leading high value, complex sourcing activities. Confident to constructively challenge buying trends and processes, leveraging new technologies to secure sustainable savings and add value. Good data analytical skills with the ability to understand financial, economic, risk and contractual data and be able to consolidate. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Full UK Driving Licence. Chem Resist - Who Are We?
