Food Safety Inspector / Environmental Health Officer

which is placed within the public sector. The Position: The primary function of the role is to assist the Environmental Health Team with food hygiene inspections in the district alongside other statutory functions undertaken by the Food Safety Team, including meeting the requirements of the Food Law Code of Practice qualification. The role of the Environmental Health Team is to protect and enhance public health and the environment as required by statute and the policies of central government and the council. This includes taking appropriate enforcement action as required. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role helping our client deliver their goals, making a difference to the community. In order to be successful, you will need to be an experienced Environmental Health Officer ideally with registration to the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB). You will also have the ability to organise and prioritise work effectively in order to meet deadlines and maintain high quality of services at all times. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships within the team and the wider organisation are essential. Financials & Hours of Work: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday Experience & Knowledge we are seeking: Demonstrable knowledge, experience and expertise in relation to relevant Health & Safety legislation and best practice. Relevant Health & Safety Enforcement experience. Relevant experience in a Corporate Health & Safety role, e.g., Safety Officer. Demonstrable technical and specialist knowledge. Experience with MS Office Systems, e.g., Word, Excel and Outlook. Qualifications we are seeking: A relevant Environmental Health related qualification and EHORB (Environmental Health Officers Registration Board) registration

OR NEBOSH General, Fire & Environmental Certificated. IOSH Health and Safety 'Managing Safely' Qualified. Root Cause Analysis trained. Technician Level for IOSH Membership. Desirable (non-essential): Experience in event safety. Hold Health & Safety Authorisations. Relevant experience of m3 software.
