We are looking for an experienced and innovative Steelwork Engineer to join us on a new project. The key responsibilities of this role include: Producing steelwork platform designs compliant with the Eurocode and other relevant codes Liaising with the building layout and piping teams to coordinate the design Maintaining QA procedures in delivering the SW design Working with the CAD designers in the preparation of the design drawings/models Managing engineering changes in line with company procedures Resolving identified technical issues Receiving, analysing, and verifying the consistency of the input data Producing the deliverables for which they are responsible (assumption notes, technical specifications, calculation notes) Coordinating CAD Design Performing design activities for fastenings and anchorages in concrete Developing substantiation reports and completing surveillance of applicable technical documents Performing technical verifications of civil engineering documents for their building Creating, maintaining, and being responsible for the Design Risk Register Qualifications
Design of seismically classified steel platforms and structures from concept to detailed design delivery Knowledge/Understanding of PWRs would be an advantage Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations Experience in the nuclear sector and plant layout engineering would be advantageous Knowledge/understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering and knowledge of the design of fastenings and anchorages in concrete Knowledge of the design of reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete structures Ability to deal with design and layout constraints Additional Information
