£12.50 to £13.00 per hour

About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care at home. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while maintaining a respectful and empathetic approach.

Main Duties

Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.

Support clients with mobility and transfers as needed.

Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.

Administer medication as per care plans and ensure proper documentation.

Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including tidying living spaces.

Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Document daily activities and any changes in client condition accurately.

Qualifications

Driving licence is essential.

Access to a car is essential.

Proficiency in English for effective communication with clients and team members.

Understanding of care plans and ability to implement them accurately.

Experience in home care or working within a care home environment is advantageous.

Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.

Basic IT skills for documentation purposes and communication with healthcare providers.

Ability to work independently while also being part of a team-oriented environment.
