The Balsam Centre is a healthy living centre that has provided community-based, participatory, purposeful and life-changing activities that improve people’s well-being.
What started as the vision of a single mother with mental health challenges has become a venture which has supported the lives of people in Wincanton and the surrounding area for over 20 years. They are looking for an enthusiastic person dedicated to improving outcomes for young people to run a youth group in Milborne Port on Thursdays. This is a chance to deliver high quality youth activity locally, supporting young people to be creative, confident and to learn life skills to take into their future. The post-holder will support the planning, delivery and evaluation of activities that meet the interests and needs of young people. They will establish positive and constructive relationships with young people, staff, volunteers and the wider community and build relationships of respect and trust with young people.
