Roles Available: Band 6/7 - Cote and Medical Wards (Slower Turnover Wards) Band 8a - Acute Medicine and Specialty Meds (Fast Turnover Wards)
Key Responsibilities: Provide clinical pharmacy services on designated wards, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal medication management. For Band 6/7 roles, focus on slower turnover wards such as Cote and Medical, offering expertise in routine patient medication review and support. For Band 8a roles, work in fast-paced wards such as Acute Medicine and Specialty Meds, managing acute conditions and complex medication regimens. Review medication charts, advise on drug therapy, monitor therapeutic outcomes, and ensure safe prescribing practices. Actively contribute to ward rounds and patient care meetings. Be a key resource for junior pharmacists and support the ongoing development of pharmacy services.
Ideal Candidate: Hospital Pharmacy Experience is essential. Must be GPhC registered with the ability to practice as a pharmacist in the UK. Strong clinical knowledge in managing medication regimens for both acute and routine patient care. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced hospital environment. Available to start ASAP, with an ongoing contract commitment. Full-time availability is preferred (Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm). However, we are open to considering candidates for 4-day working schedules.
Pay Rate: £24 - £40 per hour, depending on experience.
