The Offer
As a Team Leader at Enham Trust, you will be working with residents and the staff team to ensure residents receive a high standard of care. You will uphold the principles of promoting person-centred care and adhere to the Skills for Care Code of Conduct for Adult Social Care Workers in England. You will work in partnership with residents, encouraging choice, control, participation, and motivation, while adhering to Enham Trust and the Aster Group values. This role provides an opportunity to improve the lives of those in need and make a real positive difference.
This position is ideal for those already in a senior care role or looking to advance into a role with more responsibility and autonomy. Supported by the Home Manager, you will lead a dedicated team of caring professionals, ensuring that care standards are maintained at the highest level and that each resident’s individual needs are met.
Shifts are between 7.00 am and 9.30 pm, five days a week. The morning shift is 7.00 am - 2.30 pm, and the afternoon shift is 2.00 pm – 9.30 pm, with alternate weekends. Paid breaks and an enhanced overtime rate are provided.
We also have opportunities for Night Team Leaders, working 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts, three days a week, covering Monday to Sunday, from 8 pm - 8 am or 9 pm - 7 am. Paid breaks and an enhanced overtime rate are included.

About You
You are an excellent communicator with knowledge of the Care Quality Commission Fundamental standards for care homes. You can deliver care and support to people with complex needs, promoting dignity, respect, and self-directed care. You will hold a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care and be willing to work towards Level 3, demonstrating post-qualification learning and development.
You will need:
Experience leading a team.
Demonstrable understanding and experience of administering medication.
Excellent understanding of Personalised Care Plans.
Knowledge of choice, self-advocacy, and empowerment of individual residents.
Very good literacy and numeracy skills.
Compassion and patience.
Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care and willingness to work towards Level 3.
To pass our DBS check or be on the update service.
Even better if you have previous experience in a care environment, knowledge of disabilities, issues relating to physical access and adaptation, and a commitment to and understanding of equal opportunities.
