The Trust currently runs a 5 day week elective service and a 7 day 24hr emergency service which includes trauma and maternity services. For more experienced Practitioners who may be looking for a new challenge, we are one of the world's leading centres for Peritoneal Malignancy surgery and are one of two Hospitals in the UK funded to treat appendix cancer, also known as Pseudomyxoma peritonei. We perform Cytoreductive surgery with Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) and have an international reputation for treating peritoneal malignancy from colorectal cancer and peritoneal mesothelioma, regularly hosting teaching and training for healthcare professionals from around the globe. We also undertake advanced laparoscopic Colorectal and Gynaecological surgery, Liver resections, complex urology, as well as trauma and elective orthopaedics. The orthopaedic department is recognised as a leading centre for corrective osteotomy and enhanced recovery for arthroplasty. About us
