NHS Ayrshire & Arran - Home (nhsaaa.net) Position An opportunity has arisen for a Charge Nurse at North West Kilmarnock Area Centre. What you will do: The purpose of this role is to deliver community-based mental health nursing care to individuals in the East Ayrshire area, who require assessment and treatment for a range of mental health difficulties. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of communication and leadership skills and be able to work well within a multi-disciplinary team as well as having the ability to work as a confident and competent autonomous practitioner. There is a line management and supervisory element within this role. Ability to provide cover for Team Leader absence is an essential component of this post. You must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge base and confident ability to make clinical and line management decisions. Experience and understanding of assessing and managing risk are vital to the post. Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job: Venepuncture skills are preferred, however not essential as full training will be arranged. You will possess Registered Mental Nurse qualification and currently be registered with the NMC. You require to be educated to a minimum of degree level/or demonstrate relevant clinical experience. Hours: 37 per week UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership: UK driving licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
