You will be supported by a team of experienced clinicians who value your input and contribution to patient care. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team to enhance the patient experience and work alongside the current Paediatric / Neonatal pharmacist in helping to deliver outstanding pharmacy services. They will be passionate about maintaining high standards of patient care, have strong teamwork ethics and a sense of accountability. You will supervise and teach others as part of your role. Main duties of the job

The paediatric ward has 41 inpatient beds and is attached to the Children's Clinical Decision Area which is the paediatric assessment unit. Our neonatal unit has 40 cots split between NICU and TCU. As a level 3 NICU, they care for some of the sickest / earliest born babies. The Foundation Trust is committed to supporting transformation and is investing in our Outstanding Pharmacy Services (OPS) programme which provides opportunities to shape the way we work and the services we deliver. As part of this transformation programme, you will be given the opportunity to develop your quality improvement skills through undertaking training and application to practice. Experience

Significant post-registration experience in all aspects of hospital pharmacy Training and/or significant experience in clinical teaching / tutoring, audit, practice research, risk management Experience of working in a similar role Skills

Accurate and concise written and oral communication skills Able to receive, summarise, communicate and present information to a wide range of professionals across the Trust Proven persuasion and negotiation skills (to influence prescribing), tact and diplomacy skills Effective independent and team working skills Ability to analyse and interpret a wide range of clinical information Proven problem solving approach on a wide range of clinical issues, and able to think laterally to develop new ideas Able to assess staff performance against agreed standards and criteria, and to provide feedback and development Able to prioritise with consultation, prioritise, plan and adjust current pharmacy services within the specialised area Able to work effectively to short, medium, long-term and changing deadlines Able to work effectively in front of an audience. Able to review and provide specialised advice on medicine use in specific clinical areas. Able to obtain, interpret, analyse and report on drug expenditure within the specialised area. Able to work independently and under guidance, within departmental, Trust and statutory and professional codes of practice/ethics Knowledge

Broad knowledge of therapeutics Specialised knowledge of therapeutics and medicine use within acute medicine Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the formulation, preparation, and therapeutic action of medicines Qualifications

MPharm or equivalent Registered as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) Post graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain Working towards Faculty Accreditation Other

Demonstrate continued professional development or equivalent knowledge through extensive experience Flexibility in working hours to suit the needs of the department Current driving licence/ able to travel between sites (reasonable adjustments will be considered) Disclosure and Barring Service Check
