Education Adviser for the Virtual School
Role Overview:
Support and develop the educational needs of children who have a social worker through Child in Need Plan or Court Protection but are not in care of the authority.
Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality leadership for children with a social worker by acting as a champion for these children through strategic developments. Provide advice and guidance to social care colleagues and education partners to raise the profile of this cohort group. Collaborate with colleagues across the Northwest Virtual Schools to share good practices and ensure positive working relationships between partners. Offer advice, monitoring, challenge, and support to education settings and other agencies to ensure appropriate education for children and young people, enabling them to fulfill their ambitions and maximize their potential. Minimum Requirements: Experience of working with vulnerable groups and partners in an educational setting. Ability to work effectively as a team member and promote positive team dynamics leading to improved outcomes for children. Up-to-date knowledge of educational legislation and statutory guidance.
