Job Description

This is a part-time post and the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked. West Dunbartonshire Council has an opportunity for a part-time HR and Payroll Assistant to work within our Service Centre. The postholder will be supporting the Council and our arms-length organisations in completing operational tasks with a focus on payroll processing and employee records management. The role requires the postholder to be detail-oriented, proactive, and possess excellent organisational skills, as well as accuracy for compliance with Council policies and legal requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism are essential. Administration-related qualifications such as an SVQ3 in Business Administration or equivalent relevant experience in an administrative function are essential. The postholder will benefit from working within a supportive and collaborative HR and Payroll environment, with flexible working hours and remote work options available. Requirements

The preferred candidate will be required to complete a Basic Disclosure check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council. The Individual
