About the Role As a GP Assistant (Workflow/Referrals Administrator), you will work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Your responsibilities will include: Managing Patient Records:

Scanning, read coding, and processing clinical information into our system. Referrals:

Creating and reviewing patient referral documents, addressing queries, and ensuring high-quality outputs. Workflow Management:

Assessing correspondence to determine appropriate action, whether self-managed or escalated to clinical staff. Other Administration:

Your key duties are set out in your job description although you may be required to perform any other duties that fall outside your job title or key job duties. These are subject to change as the administrative nature of the business changes. Rotation:

You may be required to rotate into other GP Assistant roles. This role is integral to ensuring our clinicians can focus on providing exceptional patient care. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a proactive, organised individual who thrives in a team environment. You should have: Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. A keen eye for detail and accuracy in administrative tasks. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in healthcare administration (preferably primary care) and familiarity with systems like EMIS and Docman (desirable but not essential). What You’ll Gain Professional Development:

GPs, Practice Manager, Admin Manager, and other team members. External:

Patients, NHS bodies, and external stakeholders (DWP, DVLA, solicitors, etc.). Your Responsibilities Include: Ensuring compliance with practice policies, including safeguarding and health and safety. Supporting information governance and risk management processes. Assisting with the training of new staff. Helping the practice maintain Care Quality Commission (CQC) compliance.
