This position is responsible for performing elementary clerical work. Duties & Responsibilities

Performs elementary clerical tasks such as photocopying, filing, stuffing and addressing envelopes, preparing files, etc. May be asked to perform basic tasks on a computer, including simple data entry. Performs basic duties in a library or bookstore or other similar environment, including shelving books, taking inventory, mending, cleaning and tidying displays. Carries out basic housekeeping tasks in classrooms or labs and related instructional areas or in office areas. Assists in the routine distribution of equipment, tools, supplies, educational materials, mail-outs, etc. May be asked to make telephone calls of a routine nature. May act as an usher or direct foot traffic at College functions. Performs other related duties as required. Qualifications

Education and Experience: Must be registered as a VCC student and have basic oral and written English proficiency. Skills and Abilities: Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty and the general public. Basic clerical ability. Ability to use elementary office appliances and equipment. Basic computer experience. Salary Range

$18.41 per hour Employment Group
