An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic Project Support Officer to join the Sussex Mental Health Inpatient Transformation Programme. The role, as a fixed term contract for 12 months, will support the Trust to implement the new Inpatient Strategic Plan. The role will co-produce with people who use services, their carers, supporters, the ICB and stakeholders from both statutory and non-statutory organisations the transformation of our current inpatient provisions and alternatives to admission including as well as new innovations and services for the communities of Sussex. Main duties of the job

Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust (SPFT) operates a centralised Transformation & Change function, enabling the Trust to deliver its major change programmes, to improve outcomes and deliver better value. The Project Support Officer will provide essential administrative, coordination, and support functions to assist the Project Manager in the successful delivery of projects. This role will ensure that project activities are well-organised, deadlines are met, and documentation is accurate and up to date. The Project Support Officer will play a key role in supporting the project team and maintaining effective project management processes within the PMO function. About us

Qualifications

Good General Education (eg. GCSE English and Maths A-C GCSE LEVEL 9-4) Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an Administrative environment Evidence on ongoing CPD activity Knowledge/Experience

Range of work procedures and practices, majority nonroutine; intermediate level theoretical knowledge Knowledge of administrative procedures, including specialised IT systems and project management, training knowledge, acquired through formal training or experience to diploma level equivalent Experience in an administrative or support role, ideally within a project or programme environment Knowledge of project management frameworks and tools such as PRINCE2, Agile, or similar Understanding of project management principles and the ability to support the delivery of projects within scope, time, and budget. Experience in using software and tools for project tracking, scheduling, and reporting. Experience of preparing clear and concise documentation Disclosure and Barring Service Check
