Senior Social Worker - Long Term Team London Borough of Barnet Up to £37 per hour About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our dedicated Long Term Team within the London Borough of Barnet. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families. As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload of Children in Need and Child Protection cases, including court work. You will provide expert guidance and support to your team, ensuring high-quality practice and positive outcomes for children. Key Responsibilities: Manage a complex caseload of Children in Need and Child Protection cases Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive care plans Represent the Local Authority in court proceedings Provide expert advice and supervision to junior staff Contribute to the development and implementation of team policies and procedures Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure a multi-agency approach to safeguarding Essential Skills and Experience: Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and registration with Social Work England Significant experience working within a Children's Services setting Proven ability to manage complex cases and work under pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Benefits: Competitive hourly rate of up to £37 per hour Flexible working arrangements Excellent opportunities for professional development Supportive and collaborative team environment
