The successful candidate will have worked within a unionised manufacturing business previously and have experience of running monthly and weekly payroll.
Salary:
up to £45,000 per annum Hours:
40 hours per week (08:30 - 17:00) Monday to Friday. This is a site-based role.
You will be required to travel across their 2 sites to provide HR support.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring compliance of UK HR policies and procedures, assists in updating or interpreting company policies. Leading the recruitment process, including selection and interviewing of candidates for the UK companies. Collaborating with other managers in the business to ensure the smooth running of the company from a people strategy perspective. Partnering with senior operational staff including the HR director, to establish and roll-out people-related strategy. Orientates new hires and perform necessary follow-up for new employees during the probationary period. Manage any disciplinary and grievances to a satisfactory resolution. Manage the weekly and monthly payrolls for McConnel and provide cover for other payrolls as required. Overseeing attendance and absence monitoring driving improvements to absence rates. Manage the activities within Training & Development, identifying training needs and developing plans. Managing talent pools and succession plans.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Degree in Human Resource Management or CIPD qualification. Progressive experience in HR related function required within a manufacturing unionized environment. Competent understanding of HR systems and Payroll systems.
