Qualified Social Worker, Waltham Forest Council, Looked After Children’s Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team. The responsibilities will include: Waltham Forest has changed the way that we work with Looked After Children. Our Corporate Parenting Service pulls together the case work and the provision to focus on permanence for every Looked After Child. Our social work units, called Practice Support Groups (PSG), will be 0 – 25 years, reducing the transfers and handovers that children and their families hate. The focus on a systemic approach, with relationship-based social work at its heart, will support social workers and promote reflective practice. You will carry a case load and offer support to colleagues in group supervision. You will be able to evidence your registration as a social worker with HCPC. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation). 3 month Temporary Contract. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.
