Join our dynamic Risk Management team as a Health & Safety Consultant. PIB Risk Management is currently recruiting for an experienced and ambitious Health & Safety Consultant. The purpose of the role is to provide Health & Safety Consultancy within the following sectors subject to competency: Social Care Charities Retail & Commercial Religious Organisations Automotive Engineering & Manufacturing Haulage & Distribution You will be responsible for covering Darlington, Middlesbrough & the North East Region. Travelling to client sites is an integral part of this role and some overnight stays will be necessary. Responsibilities Work to an agreed "scope of work" and timescale with each client. Produce and review risk assessments, safe systems of work, method statements, policies, fire risk assessments etc. Carry out site audits and inspections. Be adaptable to different client environments. Present audit/report findings to clients including boards of trustees, governors, or directors. Carry out accident investigations if required and assist with preparation of a legal defence if necessary. Have a good understanding of RIDDOR. Operate our on-line Health and Safety Management System (xCenta) and help integrate it into client systems. Deliver technical support to colleagues and clients. Represent the Company and client when dealing with enforcing authorities and insurance companies. Undertake noise assessments, hand arm vibration assessments, and safe air testing as requested (training will be provided). Experience Minimum requirement of NEBOSH General Certificate and willingness to work towards Level 6 NVQ Diploma (or equivalent). Excellent documented CPD. Excellent report writing skills. Excellent understanding of current Legislation and standards. Meticulous attention to detail. Forward-thinking and capable of meeting deadlines under pressure. Must have a clean UK driving licence and own car (car allowance provided).
