British Sign Language (BSL)
or
Irish Sign Language (ISL)
to support stakeholders who are deaf or have limited hearing. Legislation Support : Assist with the scrutiny of legislation, particularly during committee stages, including monitoring plenary sessions, supporting evidence givers, and processing amendments. Research & Reporting : Conduct thorough research and analysis to prepare briefing documents, reports, and recommendations for committee members and Assembly staff. Stakeholder Engagement : Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring communication is impartial and clear in BSL or ISL. Meeting Management : Coordinate and attend meetings, ensuring accurate records are maintained and actions are followed up promptly. Content Creation : Draft and review reports, digests, and social media content for publication, ensuring accessibility and compliance with procedural standards. Leadership & Development : Manage and support team members to ensure high-quality service delivery and professional growth. Essential Criteria To be considered, you must meet the following criteria: BSL/ISL Proficiency : Demonstrate the ability to communicate complex or technical information clearly and accurately in BSL or ISL. A
degree (minimum 2:2)
in any subject or an equivalent qualification. Applicants without a degree must demonstrate a higher level of experience. At least
3 years' experience
in the following areas (or 5 years without a degree): Leadership : Managing teams or individual staff members to ensure the quality and timeliness of work. Research & Analysis : Analysing diverse information to develop high-quality written documents that inform decision-making. Workload Management : Planning and delivering a diverse workload to tight deadlines. Stakeholder Relations : Building effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
