Commercial Manager – Regional Contractor

The Company: We are working with a 100-year-old Regional Building Contractor who has grown consistently over the last few years and is capable of taking on construction projects valued up to £80 million for a varied client base exclusively based in the North West of England. They are privately owned, highly profitable, and are active in several market sectors including Residential, Education, Healthcare, Extra Care, and Commercial. This is a really good opportunity to join a long-established business that is extremely financially stable. They secure work through several key regional procurement frameworks and good relationships with private sector clients. This is a new role reporting to a highly experienced Commercial Director and MD. The Role: Due to gradual and consistent growth, they are now in a position to recruit a Commercial Manager into their team. The role has responsibility for a small and highly effective Quantity Surveying team. This is a Director Designate position, and working alongside their Operations Manager, you will be expected to help lead the business in the future. Working for this growing building contractor, you will be valued as a key member of the team. This contractor provides really good support and training to help you be successful in your career with Directors who are keen to pass on their knowledge. You: They would like to recruit a Commercial Manager who has experience of working for a Regional Building Contractor in a similar role. They would also be keen to hear from Senior QSs or Managing QSs who are ready to take the step up into a Commercial Management role - they can support you with that transition. You will need to be able to commute to their offices, so you will likely live in Manchester or Lancashire.
