Part-time, Term-Time Only Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maths & English Tutor with a degree to support KS3 students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Portsmouth. This onsite, term-time-only role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping students build confidence and achieve their academic potential in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialised Maths and English tutoring to KS3 students with SEND during term time. Create and deliver personalised lesson plans tailored to individual student needs. Build confidence and foster a love for learning in a safe and encouraging environment. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and Powertutors staff to track and report on student progress. Ensure lessons are engaging, structured, and inclusive for all learners. Requirements: A degree is essential. Experience working with students with SEND. Strong subject knowledge in KS3 Maths and English. Teaching or tutoring qualifications (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or similar) are desirable but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
