We are looking for a highly experiencedPractice Nurse to join our team. The candidate would be someone who ismotivated and committed to providing high quality care. They will work collaboratively with thegeneral practice team to meet the needs of the patients, ensuring practicepolicies and procedures are followed.

Main duties of the job
Ideally thecandidate has worked in a GP Surgery, should have a strong emphasis on goodteamwork inaddition to sound decision making and excellent interpersonal skills and havethe ability to manage own workload. Duties will include:-Provide care for the presenting patient, long term condition management, cervicalcytology, travel & child immunisations, ECGs, routine injections, family planning, home visits, health promotion, support team with clinical emergencies. Job Summary: The post holder is an experienced nurse, who actingwithin their professional boundaries will provide care for the presentingpatient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, treatment andevaluation of their care. Recent and relevant experience of working in Practice Nurse role within Primary Care. Recent and relevant experience of long term condition management. Maintenance of up-to-date skills, knowledge and on-going competence of the Practice Nurse role. Evidence of capacity to work successfully, both as an autonomous clinician and as part of a team. Proven ability to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of own practice. Interpreting and implementing local and national policies. Knowledge
Understanding and knowledge of policy developments related to the delivery of primary care services. Understanding of systems to gain an understanding of the health needs of the Practice population. Understanding evidence based practice. Knowledge of national standards that inform practice (e.g National Service Frameworks, NICE guidelines etc.) Accountability of own role in line with NMC Code of Professional Conduct (2015) and medico-legal aspects of the Practice Nurse role. Understanding of equal opportunity and diversity issues. Skills
