An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary to work in the Neurology department. With demand on our services at an all-time high, the role our department provides has never been more critical.

We have one position available to support the Neurology Service which is full-time 37.5 hours per week.

As a Medical Secretary your main duties will cover: Medical audio transcription of clinical correspondence. Carry out administrative instructions dictated in the correspondence including booking appointments via the Booking and Scheduling Department. Update NPSA16 investigation tracker following transcription of correspondence. Deal with internal and external telephone enquiries from patients, staff and external agencies. Undertake routine office duties including printing, scanning and filing. Organising your workload to meet our KPI’s.

To do this we need you to: Be able to prioritise your workload effectively. Pride yourself on being organised. Have an excellent eye for detail. Be confident using a computer and Microsoft Office. Have an excellent telephone manner. Be able to communicate effectively and manage patient expectation. Strive to give our patients an excellent customer service. Be enthusiastic, resilient, confident, and committed.
