Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mindfulness Practitioner to join the Dorset Pain Management Service. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working with patients with long term conditions. We are looking for practitioners who have a registered qualification in one of the following: nursing, social work, or AHP, plus a further postgraduate qualification and registration in Mindfulness. The post is to cover Dorset wide, and the team base will be with the Team in the North and West of the county at Littlemoor Health Centre with hybrid working and face-to-face clinics in locations across the patch. The Dorset Pain Management Service is a vibrant service, consisting of an inter-professional team. We employ modernized clinical practice to help people coping with chronic, non-malignant pain lead meaningful lives. Main duties of the job

To receive referrals for adults who meet the criteria for the service and undertake direct therapeutic intervention. To offer specialist assessment and group and individual interventions for mindfulness, and generic pain management interventions. To conduct assessments and offer bespoke interventions to help service users manage their chronic pain. To manage and hold responsibility for own cases as an autonomous practitioner, assessing new cases, implementing evidence-based treatment plans, evaluating and discharging to their referrer at the end of intervention. Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check. Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position. About us
