Application Deadline: 13th January 2025 11:59pm Shortlisting Date: 14th January 2025 Interview Date: 16th January 2025 Interview Type: Face to face Your Role We at Stockport Family Children’s Services are looking for an experienced, innovative, and dynamic social work leader to strategically drive the local continuous improvement journey and to work with the Department of Education and other local authorities to support their improvement journeys. You will also be the strategic lead for the upcoming children’s social care reforms, providing expert advice and supporting the Director of Children’s Services and the senior leadership team in this work. You will be enthusiastic and highly effective in improving practice with a focus on achieving excellent outcomes for children and families. About You You will be a strong and compassionate leader, who leads by example and with a deep understanding of what makes a difference for children and families. You will be child-centred, collaborative, and restorative in your approach. You will have considerable experience of strategically and operationally delivering improvement work within your own organisation and supporting other local authorities. You will have a deep understanding of the conditions required for great practice to flourish. You will be a confident and credible leader with skills in working across boundaries and with national and regulatory bodies and departments and senior officers and members.
