Purpose of the Role: An exciting opportunity to establish and implement a computed tomography (CT) function in sync with investment, with the primary purpose of driving forward car reliability. You will lead the installation, commissioning and running of equipment, with opportunities to grow and then lead the department in the future. Principal Accountabilities: Work closely with design functions to establish processes, procedures, and acceptance standards for the evaluation of range of F1 components. Define what F1 components are CT scanned and when, adding the most performance with the available equipment and resource. Complete CT scans & evaluations of parts in line with written processes and acceptance standards. Working closely with project management to ensuring scans are in line with manufacturing timelines, whilst also planning to optimise equipment to run lights out.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: A significant amount of experience running/leading a CT scanner/department is essential across a wide range of components and manufacturing methods. A fully indentured engineering background in precision engineering or similar industry. Experience working within a formula one environment is advantageous. Experience with other Non-destructive testing methods would be advantageous. Experience using Nikon CT equipment is advantageous. Experience leading a small team is advantageous. Exemplary attention to detail is a must. Fully computer literate, including use of an MRP system. Personal Attributes: Must be focused and able to work in a methodical manner, even when working under pressure. Conscientious approach to workload with flexibility in working hours and tasks undertaken. Must have the ability to work either alone.
