Croydon Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is a highly valued service with established relationships with local educational establishments and other services within the Council, NHS, and voluntary sector. We are a supportive team, committed to the best outcomes for Croydon’s children and young people. We are looking to recruit a full-time Assistant Psychologist who wishes to develop their understanding of applied psychology predominantly in early years educational contexts. Under the direct supervision of HCPC registered Educational Psychologists, and in close collaboration with other professionals, the post holders will: Support setting staff and families to meet the needs of children in the early years with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, through advice, assessment, and intervention. Support setting staff and families to navigate the statutory process, potentially considering placement within specialist settings, and facilitating the smooth transition into school. These posts will be particularly relevant to those seeking to gain knowledge, skills, and experience in preparation for applying for doctoral training courses in educational psychology. We anticipate that successful candidates will join the team as soon as possible. We are keen to consider applications from enthusiastic and resourceful candidates who can demonstrate a reflective and innovative approach, alongside excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Honours Degree in Psychology which provides a graduate basis for registration of the British Psychological Society, and experience of working with children and young people. 1 Fixed Term full-time post – 36 hours per week, 12-month contract. Salary: Soulbury Assistant Psychologists Pay Scale Point 2-5. Closing Date: Wednesday 08 January at 11:59pm, previous applicants need not apply.
