KEY RESPONSIBILITIES CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES Contribute to the identification and protection of children at risk of abuse and act in accordance with the local Safeguarding Children's Board guidelines. Attend safeguarding meetings and other meetings to improve the health outcomes of children and young people as directed by the School Nurse Specialist Practitioner and provide written reports as required. SERVICE DELIVERY RESPONSIBILITIES Support delivery of the 5-19 Healthy Child Programme (DoH 2009) including the National Childhood Measurement programme (NCMP), vision screening programme, and health and wellbeing questionnaires under the direction of the School Nurse Specialist Practitioner. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Work in cooperation with all staff within the Trust to utilise resources effectively. TRAINING/EDUCATION RESPONSIBILITIES Promote and respect equality, diversity, and the rights of individuals, families, and colleagues. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT Participate in clinical audit and research. Participate in the search for health needs and the creation of public health plans and key health priorities for schools.
