We are a small, hard-working, passionate gynaecology team running nurse-led clinics in fertility, colposcopy, urogynaecology, oncology, and early pregnancy. We offer induction, ongoing support, training, and development to all our staff.
Currently, the gynaecology outpatient clinics run Monday-Friday 0800-1800, and the training for this post is predominately at our Hinchingbrooke site. All of our posts may involve occasional cross-site working to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job On becoming an accredited Nurse Colposcopist, the post holder will provide an autonomous nurse-led service and will work with the other nurse colposcopists. The post-holder will offer and maintain a comprehensive service by seeing women, performing investigations and treatments as appropriate, and where necessary make clinical decisions in relation to best evidence-based practice. The post holder will have the responsibility of ensuring safe clinical practice and confidentiality is carried out in the clinical environment as directed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), national, regional, and local protocols.

Person Specification Education and Qualifications Essential NMC registration with ongoing professional development Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent experience
Desirable Qualification/study in cancer/gynaecology cancer or recent appropriate clinical practice in speciality
Experience Essential Minimum 2 years post qualification Experience in teaching, assessing, coaching
