This dedicated role will work in partnership with the NCIC Occupational Health service to deliver person-centred and compassionate psychological care and therapeutic interventions to individuals, managers, and teams in the workplace.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced psychological practitioner/Psychologist who is able to offer a number of therapeutic interventions to staff when they need specialist support.

You will have demonstrable skills and expertise in successfully delivering individual and group interventions to support a number of psychological conditions in a range of acute and community settings.

Main duties of the job As a specialist clinician and expert within your discipline, the post holder will be required to:

Provide highly specialised psychological therapy and assessment for NCIC Staff as part of the Occupational Health & Wellbeing Service.

Provide psychological training to health service staff, including managers and teams across the Trust.

Provide clinical supervision and support to other psychological practitioners working within the service.

Develop and engage in audit, research, and service evaluation.

Person Specification Training and Qualifications

Registered with the regulatory body e.g. BABPC or HCPC as:

Clinical Psychologist HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist.

Health or Counselling Psychologist HCPC registered with minimum of two years clinical practice.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with completed appropriate training in CBT therapy, accredited by the BABCP.

Training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training, and/or other fields of applied psychological interventions.

Post-qualification training in evidence-based therapies e.g. EMDR, CFT, ACT.

Core Profession (e.g. Mental Health Nurse, Practitioner Psychologist or Mental Health Social Worker).

Experience

Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across a range of care settings.

Experience of working with patients with a wide range of psychological problems.

Experience of working with a variety of client groups.

Experience of teaching, training, and/or supervision.

Experience in the area of service of this post.

Experience of team working.

Knowledge

Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies.

Highly specialist knowledge of the theory and practice of at least two specialised psychological therapies.

Knowledge of research methodology, research design, and data analysis in psychological intervention.

Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health.

Knowledge of current local and national drivers and models for services and developments within the NHS.

Skills and Aptitudes

Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention, and management.

Well-developed skills in spoken and written communication of complex information.

Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional individuals and groups.

A commitment to working in a compassionate way with colleagues and clients alike.

Awareness of one's own psychological health.

Ability to use computers efficiently for word processing and email.

Ability to teach and train others using a variety of complex materials.
