You can even enjoy lunch with your colleagues in our highly subsidised staff canteen. We are seeking a full-time Ward Manager to work on our 9-bedded, mixed private acute ward. The successful candidate will manage the ward and its resources, taking appropriate action to ensure that standards of care are exceptional. You will be responsible for ensuring care plans reflect the needs of patients and that your team receives timely clinical supervision, appraisal, CPD, and completes mandatory training. You will work closely with other ward managers to plan and implement quality improvement initiatives across the service, ensure adherence to policy and legislation, complete regular site and organisational audits, act as a role model for others, and demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills. The nursing team works closely with our established mental health professionals including consultant psychiatrists, doctors, and the committed therapy team. You will have the support of our excellent health care assistants. The senior management team will listen to your thoughts and ideas and you will have the opportunity to influence the future direction of our acute services. You will provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team and act as a visible role model to promote a culture of learning, development, inquiry, and team vision. We are seeking applicants with: RMN Qualification Current NMC registration with no restrictions on practice 2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity Current training in mentorship Willingness to complete further clinical, managerial and leadership training Excellent organisational and IT skills as you will be responsible for roster management Proficiency in report writing Centrally located with easy access to Tunbridge Wells, Hastings, Ashford, and Maidstone, The Priory Hospital, Ticehurst House has 43 beds across 2 service lines: Acute Adult and Acute Private. We offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient specialist mental health services for adults in a safe and supportive environment.
