Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist (Adult Acquired Teams) 15 hours a week (fixed term until 16.2.26) Chippenham Community Hospital We are looking for a newly or recently qualified Speech and Language Therapist with an interest in community adults to join our Adult SLT Team, covering the current post holder's maternity leave. The post is likely to be focused around the north of the county, although there may be a requirement to travel elsewhere in Wiltshire. The post will focus on a mixed adult caseload, including stroke, progressive disorders, voice, and mental health for 2 days a week based at Chippenham Hospital. Main duties of the job

The role will focus predominantly on working with a wide range of communication difficulties, although there may also be some opportunities to develop dysphagia skills, with appropriate clinical supervision from specialist colleagues. We are supporting a digital first model for our community work, but also provide face-to-face outpatient clinics and domiciliary visits. We have a robust system of supervision and provide CPD opportunities throughout the year. Clinical supervision will be available from specialist colleagues in the Adult Acquired Teams and joint working practices are actively encouraged. You will need to demonstrate an interest in a varied and sometimes challenging caseload and demonstrate a flexible approach to new initiatives. A car owner/driver is essential. If you have any questions please contact Sam Dicks, Head of SLT on 07900 497181. About us

Wiltshire Health and Care provides community-based health services, enabling people to live healthy independent lives. Our Vision is to enable people to live independent and fulfilling lives for as long as possible. We are an NHS partnership organisation, focused entirely on delivering quality health and care to the people of Wiltshire - not on making a profit. There has never been a better time to join us. Community services are expanding as part of the NHS Long Term Plan and the population of Wiltshire has never needed the energy, enthusiasm, and commitment of our community-focused teams more than now. You will join a friendly and supportive team who live our values of Quality, Integrity, Partnership, and Change, which were developed with our staff, patients, and carers. If you already live in or near Wiltshire, you'll know that it is a great place to live and work: rolling countryside, bustling market towns, and vibrant city life combined with excellent transport links and good schools. If you are looking to move to the area, we offer local employment and a chance to play a crucial role as part of your new community straight away. What are you waiting for?! Job responsibilities
