This role is within the Solutions Development function, responsible for the design and transition of new services to meet our customer’s missions. This includes designing and implementing sustainable solutions to meet our strategic environmental aims and developing a range of social value activities within Airbus UK. We work on leading-edge solutions in the exciting space domain. Our services help protect and defend the UK and are a part of the UK’s Critical National Infrastructure. As part of this degree apprenticeship, you will be studying towards achieving a BA or BSc Honours degree in Project Management which will be provided by Portsmouth University. What You Will Be Doing: This role is about designing and managing change within our services business. You will develop plans and schedules to provide transition and evaluation (assurance) to our customers that new operational services will be delivered to contracted performance standards. You will develop and deliver discrete work packages of activity including design, development, testing, and integration of new organisations, processes, and IT tools. Working with a team of service and system experts you will help ensure that our solutions are aligned to customer and business operational needs. You will learn to create a compelling customer offer. You will engage with stakeholders at all levels of the business to implement organisational changes and achieve value for the customer and Airbus. On the job you will: Work in bid teams on exciting, new opportunities in the international military space sector; Develop business capabilities, behaviours, and cultures to deliver new operational services; Work with our diverse internal and external supply chain to ensure alignment across the collaborative enterprise; Develop gap analyses, transition plans, service acceptance criteria, and oversee the achievement of test/evaluation activities; Become adept at mitigating risks and leveraging opportunities in our service solutions; Work at the leading edge of service management, developing industry best practices; Help develop our social value and sustainability business activities to meet our environmental values.
