About The Client:

A well-established and respected provider of residential care for children in West Lothian. Their mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people who require care away from home. They pride themselves on offering high-quality, person-centered care, and we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Service Manager to lead a dedicated support team and continue to drive forward their vision.

The Role:

As the Registered Service Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our residential children's care service. You will be responsible for ensuring the service meets the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance. You will lead a dedicated team of professionals, managing and supporting staff to ensure the well-being, development, and safety of the young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and management to the residential care team, ensuring high standards of practice are maintained. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, including SSSC and Care Inspectorate standards. Oversee the development and implementation of individualised care plans for young people. Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and outcomes for young people, driving improvements where necessary. Manage the recruitment, training, and development of staff, fostering a positive, supportive team culture. Build strong relationships with external agencies, parents, and professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care. Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for young people and staff.

About You:

We are looking for a highly motivated, compassionate, and experienced individual who has a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people. You will be a strong leader, with experience managing and motivating teams within a care setting, ideally in residential children's services.

Essential Qualifications & Experience: A relevant professional qualification (SVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent). Registered with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) as a Manager. Significant experience in residential children's care, including experience in a managerial or supervisory role. Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in children's residential care. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
