Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust's children's occupational therapy team provides a range of community-based health services for children in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin, for children aged 0 -18.
We are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team.
Are you looking for experience of working within children's community occupational therapy services assessing and treating children with developmental coordination disorders and physical disabilities?

You will need to have a sound knowledge of assessments and interventions used with these client groups or be able to demonstrate that you have transferable skills from working with adults. You will need to be familiar with report writing and be able to evidence that you have used goal setting and outcome measures within your practice. You should be able to evidence that you have developed skills that may be required to liaise with multidisciplinary teams of health, education, and social care professionals. About us

Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy Current registration with the Health Professions Council Evidence of ongoing professional development Experience
Experience of planning and providing clinical care to adults or children and young people with occupational therapy needs. Experience of working in a variety of settings. Neurology and rehabilitation experience. Some post-qualifying experience. Knowledge and Skills
Experience of undertaking clinical audit. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ongoing awareness of recent developments in practice and research including NSFs/NICE guidelines. Previous experience of delivering programmes of care. Knowledge of safeguarding children and young people. Good knowledge of occupational therapy core skills and processes. Demonstration of knowledge of child development. Other
