As an EMEA Tax Advisory Manager, your role will be pivotal in providing expert tax advice on various internal operations and transactions. You will have the responsibility of overseeing the tax aspects of all legal documentation while keeping abreast with changes in tax law, particularly those affecting investment banking activities. Your expertise will be crucial in working on group tax projects related to new legislation, corporate simplifications, thin capitalisation, and recapitalisations. Furthermore, you will advise on the tax implications of various corporate actions such as restructuring, acquisitions, disposals, and capital repatriation. Your strong communication skills will enable you to effectively liaise with Group Tax and Finance teams both regionally and globally. Provide tax advice on internal operations, transactions & sign off processes Oversee tax aspects of all legal documentation Monitor changes in tax law especially in relation to investment banking activities and assess impact on the business Work on group tax projects relating to new legislation, corporate simplifications, thin capitalisation, and recapitalisations Advise on tax implications of corporate actions such as restructuring, acquisitions, disposals and capital and profit repatriation Liaise with Group Tax and Finance regionally and globally and external advisors What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the EMEA Tax Advisory Manager role brings along strong UK Tax experience from within a financial services or similar industry. You possess the ability to interact effectively with different levels of staff across various departments. Being commercially minded with good knowledge and experience of financial services taxation is key for this role. A high degree of accuracy coupled with a focus on process improvement is expected. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a team player mindset. Experience with capital markets would be an added advantage. Strong UK Tax experience from within a financial services, commodities/private equity, professional services, or similar industry Ability to interact effectively with different levels of staff across the Financial Management Group and wider business Commercially minded with a good knowledge and experience of financial services taxation A high degree of accuracy, with a process improvement focus Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a strong team player mindset Experience with capital markets would be helpful (but not essential) What sets this company apart:
