Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is recruiting a Commissioning Support Manager. The role will work as part of the Transformation Delivery Directorate and the wider Elective Care System. As a healthcare manager with experience in project management and planning, you will work within a dynamic team responsible for planning and delivery of the ICB and system’s planned care programme. The role involves working with senior commissioners, clinical colleagues, and stakeholders to deliver the transformation programme across planned care. This role is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with at least a year’s postgraduate experience who would like to develop an understanding of commissioning NHS services. Main duties of the job

As our Commissioning Support Manager, you will: Provide comprehensive support across the Transformation Delivery Team, with specific focus on the Elective Care and Cancer portfolios. Support Senior Commissioners and wider team members by assisting in all aspects of programme planning and delivery. Provide key programme support to ensure that the portfolio of projects/tasks is planned, managed, and delivered effectively. Maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services, and initiatives which may be highly complex, sensitive, and political. Work with team members to develop and implement project data collection systems that will provide accurate and timely data. Communicate information, risks, issues, and dependencies, including briefings and reports to project teams and a range of internal and external staff. Person specification

Your Qualifications

Degree level qualification plus further professional or work-based training, or equivalent work gained knowledge and experience. Your Experience

Experience of working in a health and social care environment. Experience of supporting programme management and/or project management at a system level. Experience of preparing agendas/papers for meetings and taking minutes/action notes. Your knowledge and understanding

Understanding of the responsibilities and functions of ICBs and how this role contributes. Understanding of and commitment to the principles, practices, and promotion of equality and diversity. Skills and abilities

Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand, interpret, and deal with complex situations and issues. Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines. Able to travel between venues to accommodate the needs of the role. Ability to analyse, report, and monitor the processing of data and information. Please note, there is a requirement for all positions at Bands 8b and above to be part of an On Call rota. All new entrants to the ICB for a permanent position will be subject to a 6-month probationary period. For new entrants appointed on a fixed-term basis, the probationary period is between 1 and 6 months.
