This state-of-the-art property will combine Marriott's global reputation for service excellence with the vibrant energy of Sheffield. Featuring modern guest rooms, a stylish bar and restaurant, and exceptional meeting spaces, this hotel is set to become a hub for business and leisure travellers alike. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role managing the financial operations and driving the financial success of this flagship property. The

Financial Controller

will play a key role in ensuring the hotel operates efficiently, achieves profitability, and adheres to financial standards. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all financial operations

of the hotel, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Develop and implement robust

financial controls

to safeguard the hotel's assets and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Prepare and present

accurate and timely financial reports

to the General Manager, ownership, and RBH leadership, ensuring clarity and actionable insights. Manage the hotel's

cash flow , accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure financial stability and liquidity. Collaborate with department heads to

develop and manage departmental budgets , providing guidance and support to optimize costs and maximize revenues. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and variances, and recommend corrective actions where necessary. Ensure compliance with

local tax regulations , company policies, and Marriott's financial standards. Lead and mentor the hotel's finance team, providing coaching and development opportunities to enhance team performance. Conduct periodic

internal audits

to ensure financial accuracy and identify areas for improvement. Partner with the General Manager and leadership team to develop strategies that align with the hotel's overall business objectives. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions. Support pre-opening activities, including the establishment of financial systems, implementation of Marriott's financial standards, and training of finance team members. About You:

Proven experience in a senior financial role, such as Financial Controller, Assistant Financial Controller, or Finance Manager, ideally within a branded hotel environment. Strong financial acumen

with a comprehensive understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to

motivate and develop a high-performing finance team. In-depth knowledge of hotel accounting systems and processes; familiarity with Marriott's financial systems is advantageous but not essential. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear, actionable insights. Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Knowledge of the Sheffield market is a plus, but not essential. Why You'll Love This Role:
